Our Journey
From our consecration in 1948 to the present day, the Borough of Woolwich Lodge has been a cornerstone of Freemasonry in South East London and West Kent.
Lodge Consecrated
The Borough of Woolwich Lodge No. 6610 was consecrated at Mark Masons' Hall, London, under the United Grand Lodge of England.
The Shakespeare Hotel
The lodge held its first regular meetings at the Shakespeare Hotel in Woolwich, a well-known local landmark.
Growing Membership
The lodge grew steadily through the post-war years, drawing members from across the Borough of Woolwich and surrounding areas.
Move to Westwood
The lodge relocated to the Westwood Masonic Centre in West Wickham, joining other lodges in a purpose-built Masonic meeting place.
Community & Charity
Continuing its charitable tradition, the lodge supported local and Masonic charities while welcoming new members from diverse backgrounds.
A Modern Lodge
Borough of Woolwich Lodge continues to meet at the Westwood Masonic Centre, welcoming men of all ages who share a commitment to fellowship, charity and personal growth.
